Chapter 1263
Rosalie placed the clothes on the bed. Theodore glanced at Justin's clothing, fell silent for a moment, and then nodded. "Okay. Thank you." Although the thought of wearing Justin's clothes made him feel uncomfortable, he was grateful for Rosalie's care.
"I'll go prepare breakfast. By the way, when you shower later, you can give Steve a bath if you want. This little guy hasn't bathed in days, and he always cries whenever I try. See if you can get him cleaned up."
Theodore was surprised. "Sure. I'll make sure to give him a good bath."
Rosalie nodded. "There's a baby bathtub in the bathroom."
With that, Rosalie left the room.
Steve gulped down half a bottle of formula, then let out a burp.
"Finished?" Theodore patted his little head. "Daddy will take you for a bath."
Suddenly, the door swung open, and Rosalie hurried in, holding two eggs in her hands. "Wait a moment."
"What's wrong?" Theodore noticed Rosalie's anxious expression.
"I just remembered that babies shouldn't bathe right after drinking milk. You can shower first."
Initially, she wanted Theodore to spend more time with Steve so that they could bond with each other, but she had almost forgotten this crucial detail. Theodore felt a bit embarrassed. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize that either. I'll keep it in mind."
"It's my oversight," Rosalie said. "You can shower first."
She then turned and left the room.
After Rosalie finished preparing breakfast, Theodore also emerged from the bathroom with Steve in his arms.
Rosalie was just setting the breakfast table. "Come and eat. After breakfast, we'll head to the hospital."
Theodore sat down, still holding Steve.
Rosalie stepped forward. "Let me take Steve."
"It's alright. I'll hold him. He seems to like me a lot." Steve was unusually calm in Theodore's arms.
Rosalie didn't press the matter and sat down across from him. "Let's eat."
As they ate breakfast in silence, Theodore tried to make conversation. "Do you see Sebastian often? Does he come by to visit the baby?"
"We stay in touch, but we don't meet much. He's been very busy lately with a lot on his plate."
"He doesn't come to see his child?" Theodore couldn't help but think Sebastian wasn't attentive enough.
"Steve lives with me now, and I'll take good care of him. You don't need to concern yourself with our matters. Just focus on eating your breakfast."
Rosalie was worried that saying more might reveal too much.
Theodore felt a hint of disappointment but said nothing further and lowered his head to finish his meal.
After breakfast, Rosalie tidied up
briefly. Then they took Steve to the hospital to visit Sydney. When they arrived, Wesley was still at the hospital, looking extremely tired and worn out. He could barely stand steadily.

"Dad, why are you still here? You should go home and rest."
Wesley glanced at Rosalie and suddenly took her hand. "Rose, Theo knows he was wrong. Please forgive him."
Rosalie was caught off guard bynoveldrama
Wesley's sudden words and felt awkward. "You should go rest, you
a well-you must not have
slept last night."
Wesley smiled bitterly. "Alright, I'll leave now. You young people should handle your matters yourselves."
He seemed somewhat disoriented.
After Wesley left, Theodore quickly said, "Rose, don't take my dad's words to heart. He's been so worried about my mom that he's a little confused."
"It's alright. I understand." Rosalie shifted the topic. "How's the investigation into the shooter going?"
"If they find any leads, they'll contact me. Since I haven't heard from them, it probably means there's nothing yet," Theodore replied.
Rosalie thought for a moment and
said, "Theo, can't shake the feeling that someone has been watching us. Don't you think a lot of the things that have happened to us seem strange? It's as if we've been caught in a conspiracy."
